Meet our Team

Pastor Brent Gragg

I grew up in a small town in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. My parents attended a Baptist Church on occasion and I do not remember ever hearing the gospel. The Lord moved in the life of my parents and this changed my life forever. I had to leave my childhood home of 15 years and move to Maryland.

This is what I like to call a "Divine Appointment". After moving to Maryland my cousins invited me to go visit a Church with them. So that night I heard the Gospel clearly for the first time. I can remember it as if it was yesterday. Sitting in the pew listening to a sermon by Dr. Norris Belcher. I do not remember the sermon itself but it was the question at the end of the sermon that still sticks out. If you were to die today, where would you spend eternity? What a question and I needed to know the answer. I quickly made my way to the front where I heard the gospel message of the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. That day changed my life forever.

After a few years of bulking against the Lord, I accepted the call to preach His word. I have had the wonderful opportunity of 20 years of ministry. From children to youth, to senior pastor. Taking the talents and the calling that the Lord has given me and encouraging churches to reach the Lost for Christ.

Through Trials of life and seeing the burdens that most pastors and Churches face the Lord led me to create Renewing the Call ministries. In 2024 the Lord has place on my heart to begin travelling the country and reaching out to pastors in every area I can reach. With the Lord's help, it is my burden to reach pastors and let them know one key thing, they are NOT ALONE. Pray with me and Kenny as we continue the work of the Lord.

Working with Pastor Brent was the best experience I could have ever asked for from a wedding officiant. He was diligent, honest, and kind. I especially enjoyed the
preparation not only for the wedding day but the weeks leading up to it."

I joined the work at Renewing the Call ministries in November of 2024. I serve to reach the churches and pastors in the state of Virginia. It is my hope to encourage the struggling pastors and churches in the area by returning their focus to the Lord Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith.

I was born into a Christian family on September 1986. I recall hearing the gospel from my earliest memories, and even remember praying with my
mother shortly after my friends had accepted Christ, yet there was no conviction or repentance in my heart. Because of this, I struggled with the assurance of my salvation, through elementary school and middle
school. At age 11, my twin brother accepted Christ, which caused great fear in my heart concerning my own salvation, yet my pride held me back from
admitting my sin. As I entered my high school years, I started attending
the academy connected with Ambassador Baptist College. There I was exposed to preaching every day, and was convicted about my need for salvation, yet I was content to profess my salvation if others thought I
was saved. When I graduated, I enrolled at Ambassador Baptist
College at the wish of my parents. My Freshman year of college was convicting, yet I was still resolved to stay in my lost state. During the
following summer, I tried to keep myself busy with work, so I did not think about the ever-growing conviction. Yet God was still at work, drawing me to
Himself. The night before opening classes of my Sophomore year, a pastor preached a message at our church entitled: “How I was a Baptist Pastor for
Seven Years and was Lost.” My heart was greatly troubled, yet I refused to surrender to the Lord. I thank the Lord that He is rich in mercy. The very next day, an evangelist brought a message in opening chapel entitled: “How to Know for Sure you’re on your Way to Heaven.” It was August 29, 2005, that I
surrendered to God and accepted Him as Lord of my life! I was baptized a few weeks later and surrendered my life to the Lord for His service during the same time.
